Albufeira summers are long and hot, the winters mild, together with inviting spring and autumn time, and on average only 500mm of rain per year. The Algarve can usually count on around 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. The Algarve coast can get a bit breezy, but this is welcome in the extremely hot summer months. Because the weather in Albufeira is mild in the winter time, if it is cloud free it can be very pleasant. This is a very popular time for the hoards of golfers who flock to the beautiful courses that cover almost all of the Algarve. Springtime in Albufeira is so beautiful. Albufeira comes alive with the vibrant colours of the flowers in bloom, and the locals shed there winter clothes and seem to have a spring in there step and smile on there faces.
