Everything You Need To Know About Car Hire In Copenhagen

It is very easy to rent a car in Copenhagen. All the major car rental agencies are represented in both the airport and in the center of Copenhagen. In Copenhagen you can rent cars from: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. So whoever you prefer (or have special deals with), you can find in Copenhagen.
All the car rental agencies have offices in Copenhagen Airport. In the international part of the airport they are located in the corridor between Terminal 2 and 3. When you are leaving the baggage claim and the customs check, you just have to turn left and walk about 50 meters. Then you will see the signs.
Three of the car rental agencies are represented in the domestic part of the airport (Terminal 1): Hertz, Avis and Europcar. If you prefer Budget or Sixt, you can use the free airport bus to Terminal 3. The ride takes only a few minutes.
In the city center you can find all the agencies. They are all close to the Town Hall Square, the Main Station, the Tivoli Garden and a lot of the hotels.
If you normally rent cars in the United States, you will probably be chocked to see the prices in Denmark. But there are ways to find cheap car rental in Copenhagen.
Often the car rental agencies have special weekend offers. Long term rental is often also cheaper. You might find a car for a week for the same price as 4 or 5 days. Another way to get a cheaper car is to prepay it; instead of renting it when you arrive.
The cars in Denmark are also smaller than in many other countries (especially compared to the United States). But the distances in Denmark are short, so unless you are bringing a lot of luggage (or a big family), you do not need a large car.
But if you like a big car, it is of course possible to rent one in Copenhagen. You will find cars from all the European luxury car companies like Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Audi. And if you like a cabriolet, you can find that too. Or a BMW Mini Cooper for easy parking.
